SAKUGAN - S01

The "Labyrinth" is a vast underground world where humans live in isolated communities called "colonies." Over time, the surface has faded into legend-something many believe is nothing more than a myth. To survive the harsh underground, people take on specialized roles. "Workers" extract valuable ore to sustain the colonies, while "Markers" explore the Labyrinth’s surprisingly vibrant terrain, mapping safe paths. But humanity’s survival is threatened by the "kaijuu"-hostile creatures ranging from the size of a child to that of a towering building. The largest among them can even breach the colonies, making them even more dangerous. Memenpu, a nine-year-old prodigy, has already graduated college and invented tools that help Workers in her colony. Lately, she’s been dreaming of a place with no rocky ceiling overhead-a place without limits. This drives her to become a Marker and search the Labyrinth for that impossible sight. Her father, Gagumber, strongly opposes the idea, but after a run-in with the kaijuu, Memenpu embarks on a perilous journey that could change humanity’s fate.
