Rocket Girls - S01

Yukari Morita sets out to find her father, who vanished somewhere in the South Seas. For a high school girl traveling alone, reaching the Solomon Islands is already a daunting journey. But things take an unexpected turn when she encounters an astronaut from the Solomon Space Association, a group struggling to build a rocket capable of sending a person into space. When the SSA's director, Nasuda, meets Yukari, he notices her small frame-perfect for their existing, less powerful rocket. He proposes a deal: if she agrees to become their astronaut, the SSA will help track down her missing father. Now Yukari faces a life-changing question-does she have what it takes to embark on this daring space mission?
