Red Blooded Eleven - S01

At Shinsei High School, soccer is less a game and more a brutal battle. The new coach, Teppei Matsuki, is a ruthless taskmaster who drives his team mercilessly for victory. Rebellious student Shingo Tamai and his friend Ohira refuse to be forced into Matsuki's squad and instead form their own team, playing purely for fun at first but struggling to match the intensity of Matsuki's players. Over time, their skills grow as they face other teams, becoming stronger and more strategic-until they clash with Asakase High's elite squad and its star player, Misugi Yan, in the school finals. Amid tangled subplots-old rivalries, injuries, and a mixed-race teammate searching for his identity and imprisoned mother-Shingo hones his abilities as a center forward, eager to test himself against a visiting Brazilian team. But a severe injury threatens his future, even as his raw talent earns praise from legends like Pele. With the help of an unexpected ally tied to his old rival Matsuki, Shingo fights to recover and lead his team to triumph. More drama than pure sports story, this marks the beginning of Japan's long-running soccer soap tradition, stretching through series like "Captain Tsubasa." Based on the manga by Ikki Kajiwara and Kosei Sonoda.
