Fumihiko Matsumaru, a marketing employee, is about to toss his movie tickets after getting stood up on a date when a girl named Aka Onda-an energetic, quirky aspiring voice actress-asks if she can join him instead. Thanks to her company, Fumihiko ends up having a surprisingly fun night. On their way home, they realize they live in the same neighborhood. Later that night, Fumihiko wakes from a bad dream to the sound of sirens and discovers Aka’s apartment has burned down, leaving her with nothing. He offers to let her stay at his place, and that night, they end up sleeping together. After that unexpected turn of events, their lives become deeply connected. Despite their one-night stand, they settle into a platonic living arrangement-only to then learn Aka has been cast to voice the mascot Fumihiko designed for his company’s new product. As they navigate their complicated living situation, hiding it from coworkers to avoid gossip, they also start leaning on each other for support through the ups and downs of their careers.
