Raven of the Inner Palace - S01

In the royal court, few figures inspire as much fear as admiration as the Raven Consort, Ryuu Jusetsu. She lives in her dark, secluded palace, distant from the emperor, and surrounded by whispers. Some say she holds supernatural powers-able to recover lost things or cast deadly curses. To some, she is an ageless sage; to others, a ghostly specter. Jusetsu pays no mind to the gossip, content to remain alone-until Emperor Ka Koushun storms into her palace, demanding her help with a strange and urgent matter. For the first time, Jusetsu must leave her sanctuary, though the emperor’s persistent visits irritate her beyond measure. Still, she cannot refuse him. Her predecessor’s warnings linger in her mind: the Raven Consort must remain solitary, untouched by desire. Yet, against her nature, Jusetsu forms her first connection when she takes on Jiujiu, a curious and guileless court girl, as her only attendant. Together, they take on the requests of those within the palace walls. But danger stirs beyond, and by stepping into the light, Jusetsu risks awakening a past she would rather forget.
