Police in a Pod - S01

After high school, Mai Kawai was determined to land a stable job so she wouldn’t end up like her father. But after taking countless civil service exams, she hit a wall-almost every institution rejected her. The only place that accepted her was a police academy, which she joined reluctantly. Now a full-fledged officer, Mai still struggles with life’s harshness. Her job draws constant criticism from resentful citizens, leaving her demoralized. After just a few months, she’s ready to give up and submits her resignation. That same day, she crosses paths with Seiko Fuji, a former star detective from the Criminal Affairs Division who becomes her new instructor. Intrigued by Seiko, Mai hesitates to leave and decides to give her thankless job another shot.
