Ash's summer vacation in the tropical Alola region becomes another step in his journey to become a Pokémon Master. Alongside Pikachu, he explores this sunny new land, meeting strange Pokémon and learning from the people there-like the laid-back Professor Kukui and cheerful Samson Oak. He's joined by a group of skilled Trainers-Kiawe, Lana, Mallow, and Sophocles-as well as Lillie, a mysterious research assistant. Team Rocket follows him to Alola, hoping to steal powerful new Pokémon, but they aren't the only troublemakers around. The rowdy Team Skull loves causing chaos, and they might have darker plans in store...
