Pillow Boys - S01

"Makura no Danshi" offers a soothing experience, like a whispered lullaby, as each short episode introduces a different boy who listens and comforts the viewer. The series includes a variety of personalities: Merry, a gentle brown-haired boy; Sousuke Tanaka, a mature working man; Kanade Hanamine, a tough-acting high schooler who’s scared of spiders; Eiji Kijinami, a punk-looking softie who hates losing; Ryuushi Theodore Emori, a shy stargazer; Yuu Maiki, a freshman with big dreams; Haruto Enokawa, a lively 5-year-old who needs a bedtime story; Nao Sasayama, a smartphone-obsessed college student; Shirusu Mochizuki, a book-loving librarian; Yonaga and Yayoi Chigiri, siblings learning flower arrangement; and Yuuichirou Iida, a humorous old man running an oden stall. Though life may bring troubles, these boys share their own stories and gently encourage viewers to open up. With their kindness, they make everyone feel cherished and understood.
