Petit Eva: Evangelion@School - S01

The Bandai Channel website revealed that "Petit Eva ~Evangelion@School~," the first official super-deformed spin-off of "Neon Genesis Evangelion," will be adapted into a video series. Details will be officially announced in the September issue of Japan’s Newtype magazine, available on August 10. This comedic take on the psychological sci-fi series reimagines the characters as students at Tokyo-3’s Nerv School, led by Principal Gendō Ikari and teacher Misato. The school features three Rei "sisters," the EVA-01 mobile weapon recast as the bully Evanchō, and the doomed Jet Alone robot as JA-ko-a shy android girl labeled a "hidden character." Character designs by Ryuusuke Hamamoto have inspired four-panel gag manga serials in Monthly Shōnen Ace, Newtype, Dengeki Hobby Magazine, and Figure Oh. The "Petit Eva" project has also spawned merchandise, including super-deformed figures and limited-edition Doritos.
