Noir - S01

One sunny afternoon in her Paris apartment, professional assassin Mireille Bouquet gets an odd email from Kirika Yuumura, a Japanese student, asking her to join a "pilgrimage to the past." Dismissing it at first, Mireille takes it seriously when the email plays a song from her childhood. When they finally meet, gunmen ambush them. Mireille holds her own, but she’s surprised to see Kirika effortlessly take down several attackers. Despite her lethal skills, Kirika confesses she feels no guilt over killing and has no memory of how she gained these abilities-or even who she really is. Sensing a connection between them, Mireille teams up with Kirika to unravel the secrets of their pasts. Calling themselves "Noir," they take on jobs that slowly reveal the truth about their identities, but their uneasy partnership is strained with each new mission.
