Mysterious Disappearances - S01
At 28, Sumireko Ogawa-once hailed as a literary prodigy-finds herself disillusioned by adulthood. Editors dismiss her work, and her latest novel stalls. Resigned to a quiet life as a bookstore clerk, she stumbles upon a mysterious book of poetry that inexplicably transforms her back into a child. At first, Sumireko revels in her renewed inspiration and youthful energy. But her coworker Ren Adashino, an occult specialist, warns her: unless she reads more verses from the book to reverse the change, it will kill her. Though reluctant, Sumireko agrees to return to her adult self and joins Ren and his sister Oto in their paranormal investigations. Ren’s motives remain unclear, but Sumireko sees a chance to turn these strange adventures into the literary breakthrough she’s been chasing.
