Malevolent Spirits: Mononogatari - S01

Hyouma Kunato has grown more at ease with Botan Nagatsuki and her family of tsukumogami-spirits inhabiting objects known as marebito-but his desire for revenge still drives him. While Hyouma trains in Kyoto under the Kadomori family, the Bureau of Traditional Music, a group of three musical instrument tsukumogami, moves forward with its own plans. They confront Botan’s family, questioning why Hyouma-a human-is allowed close to someone who stands at the boundary between the human and marebito worlds. Not long after, the paper umbrella tsukumogami Hyouma has been chasing for years resurfaces, kidnapping Botan and her university friends. Now, rushing to save the person he vowed to protect, Hyouma may have to choose between his quest for vengeance and keeping his promise to Botan.
