Samurai hold a special place in Japan's history, and for a high school student, having any connection to them is deeply inspiring. Kawakami City is famous for its many descendants of samurai families, and the town carries an air of determination, loyalty, and hard work. At Kawakami Academy, students live by these ideals, whether studying for tests, competing in sports, or upholding their traditions. Yamato Naoe is no exception, and his tight-knit group of six friends-three boys and three girls-form a strong bond of friendship, rivalry, and mutual support. But even samurai have their flaws. Their balanced friendship has stayed steady for years, but when two new girls join their circle, things become far more complicated.
