Maesetsu! Opening Act - S01

Manzai is a classic Japanese comedy style where two performers play off each other-one as the straight man, the other as the funny man-delivering jokes in a back-and-forth rhythm. Mafuyu Kogarashi and Fubuki Kitakaze are two girls chasing their dream of becoming successful manzai comedians, but despite their time on stage, they haven’t quite hit their stride. They often team up with their friends and fellow newcomers, Rin Araya and Nayuta Asougi, supporting each other’s acts and sharing the spotlight. To break through, the four push themselves by trying new venues, swapping roles, entering contests, and refining their skills through practice and experience. But before they can make it big, they’ll need to polish their performances enough to earn amateur recognition-the first real step toward their dream.
