Kurozuka - S01

In 12th-century Japan, the swordsman Kurou flees from terrifying pursuers into a dense forest with his loyal servant, Benkei. They take refuge in the hidden home of a mysterious and alluring woman named Kuromitsu. Though she welcomes them kindly, she warns them never to enter her private room. Unable to resist his curiosity-and possibly his doomed love-Kurou sneaks a glance through the slightly open door, only to witness Kuromitsu drinking the blood of dead men. He discovers she is an immortal vampire and swears himself to her, even becoming a vampire to stay by her side forever. But the enigmatic Red Army recruits Benkei, who betrays Kurou and beheads him. Centuries later, Kurou awakens in a ruined, futuristic Japan. Determined to find Kuromitsu again, he sets out to reunite with her and take vengeance on the Red Army.
