Kemono Jihen - S01

Kohachi Inugami, a detective with a focus on occult cases, travels to a secluded village in rural Japan after a local innkeeper hires him to look into a series of unexplained incidents-livestock found dead, rotted, and torn apart with no clear cause. While investigating, Inugami spots an odd boy laboring in the fields. Shunned by the other villagers and nicknamed "Dorotabou" for his foul smell, the boy is startled when Inugami shows interest in him. Curious, Inugami asks Dorotabou to assist with the case, even as the villagers glare in disapproval. What Dorotabou doesn’t realize is that this investigation will expose him to a hidden world-one where strange, beast-like creatures called Kemono live alongside humans-and give his once-meaningless life a new sense of direction.
