Nanami Momozono, along with her familiars Tomoe and Mizuki, has faced many trials since becoming the guardian god of Mikage Shrine. When the wind god Otohiko invites her to the Divine Assembly in Izumo-the realm of the gods-she decides to bring Mizuki along, leaving Tomoe to impersonate her at school. But Nanami has another reason for going: she hopes to uncover clues about the disappearance of Lord Mikage, the shrine’s former deity. After her journey to Izumo, Nanami crosses paths with Botanmaru, a young tengu searching for someone familiar-Shinjirou Kurama, the goth idol and exiled tengu prince. Botanmaru pleads for Shinjirou to return to Mount Kurama and overthrow Jirou, the tyrant ruling their homeland. Yet Nanami soon realizes something far more sinister than Jirou is stirring on the mountain. As Nanami grows into her role as a god, she must navigate a tengu uprising, her deepening feelings for Tomoe, and the appearance of a mysterious man connected to both Tomoe’s past and her own uncertain future.
