His and Her Circumstances - S01

Yukino Miyazawa is the class representative and the most admired freshman at her high school. Skilled in studies, sports, and social graces, she seems effortlessly perfect-but in truth, she works obsessively to uphold her flawless image, craving constant praise. Her biggest frustration is Souichirou Arima, the male class rep, who outshines her in every way. From their first day of school, Yukino has battled to surpass him, but he always stays one step ahead. When Yukino finally tops the midterm exams, beating Souichirou, she expects resentment-but instead, he sincerely congratulates her, making her doubt her own calculated behavior. After he confesses his feelings, she coldly rejects him, though a flicker of guilt lingers. The next day, Souichirou arrives at her home and catches her in her true, unguarded state. Armed with this knowledge, he blackmails her into helping with his student council work. Forced to spend time together, Yukino slowly realizes Souichirou has his own hidden depths.
