Hinomaru Sumo - S01

Professional sumo has no weight classes-it's a brutal sport where only the toughest thrive, and anyone bold enough can enter the ring. But there’s a catch: wrestlers must meet a minimum size requirement to go pro. Hinomaru Ushio, despite his raw talent and relentless drive, is too small to qualify. His dream is to reach the pinnacle of sumo, the rank of "Hinoshita Kaisan," but his only shot is by becoming the "High School Yokozuna," the top wrestler in high school tournaments. Time is running out for Ushio. If he can’t prove himself in high school sumo, his chance at going pro might vanish forever. Instead of joining Ishigami High, Japan’s top sumo school, he chooses Odachi High, where he must start a sumo club from scratch with his only loyal teammate, Shinya Ozeki. Odachi High is the ultimate underdog, but Ushio has no choice-he must fight with everything he’s got to turn his impossible dream into reality.
