Gunbuster - S02

In the near future, humanity begins exploring deep space, only to encounter a massive alien race called "Space Monsters." These insectoid beings appear intent on wiping out humankind as they draw closer to Earth. To fight back, humanity builds giant combat robots, each piloted by carefully selected young recruits from across the globe. After the aliens are discovered, Noriko Takaya-daughter of a renowned but deceased space captain-enrolls in a pilot training school, despite her lack of natural skill. There, she meets Kazumi Amano, her complete opposite: graceful, gifted, and confident. Though mismatched, the two are forced to work together, confronting not only the horrors of war but also their own personal struggles.
