Ichiko Sakura has always had it easy-beauty, brains, and wealth come effortlessly to her, as if life itself bends to her will. Meanwhile, Momiji Binboda, the goddess of poverty, struggles with endless misfortune: a never-healing broken arm, a lack of curves, and a cardboard box under a bridge for shelter. Their paths cross when Momiji reveals the truth behind Ichiko’s good fortune-she’s been unknowingly sapping luck from everyone around her. Momiji’s mission is to reclaim that stolen fortune before Ichiko leaves the world devoid of luck entirely. But Ichiko, aided by the wandering monk Bobby Statice, manages to fend off the poverty goddess. Humiliated, Momiji calls in backup: Kumagai, her teddy bear familiar, and Momoo Inugami, a dog god with a taste for punishment. Now Ichiko’s peaceful life is overrun by absurd battles as Momiji and her allies relentlessly attack. If she wants to survive this madness, Ichiko will need every last drop of her stolen luck in "Binbougami ga!!"
