God Mazinger - S01

In the ancient kingdom of Mu, the peaceful land faces destruction at the hands of the warlike Dragonian Empire. With little military strength and only a giant divine statue for protection, young Queen Aira and her people stand no chance against the Golden King Dorado and his army of dinosaurs. Desperate, Aira reaches across time and space for help, summoning Yamato Hino-an ordinary but athletic high school boy from modern Tokyo. At first, Yamato thinks he’s losing his mind when a ghostly girl starts appearing to him, but she eventually persuades him to step through a magical portal into ancient Mu. Before Yamato can adjust to his new surroundings, Dragonia launches another attack. This time, however, the invaders are driven back by the giant God Mazinger, now fused with Yamato. Though Mu secures its first victory, the battle is far from over. Yamato must confront his own weaknesses and grow into a true warrior if he hopes to save the kingdom and find his way home.
