Gintama: The Movie

Gintoki and his Yorozuya crew-Shinpachi and Kagura, who are less friends and more overworked employees-struggle to make ends meet in Edo, a city overrun by aliens and stuck in a strange mix of past and future. They pick up odd jobs to get by, usually avoiding anything too risky. But when Katsura, Gintoki’s old friend and leader of the Joui rebels, vanishes after a brutal attack by an unknown assailant, Shinpachi and Kagura start digging into his disappearance. Meanwhile, Gintoki accepts what seems like a simple job: a blacksmith named Tetsuya hires him to track down a stolen, cursed sword called the Benizakura. As their separate paths begin to cross, the Yorozuya trio uncovers a dark conspiracy tied to the sword’s deadly power. Realizing the stakes, Gintoki decides to confront the threat head-on, storming the enemy’s stronghold with a few unlikely allies by his side. What follows is one of his most dangerous missions yet.
