Gatchaman Crowds - S01

One day, a massive UFO appears over Japan and crashes into farmland near Nagaoka, shattering Tsubasa Misudachi’s quiet life. The Gatchaman, Tachikawa City’s legendary protectors, oversee the incident as a harmless alien emerges from the wreckage. Amid the confusion, Gatchaman founder J.J. Robinson hands Tsubasa a high-tech device called a NOTE, marking his sudden induction into their ranks. Under the guidance of veteran hero Hajime Ichinose, Tsubasa starts adapting to his new role as a guardian of justice. At the same time, CROWDS technology-which lets users materialize their thoughts as physical forms-is gaining popularity, even earning the prime minister’s approval. But a shadowy group called VAPE is using red CROWDS to cause destruction, turning public opinion against the technology. Now, the Gatchaman and their newest member, Tsubasa, must stop VAPE before their rampage spirals out of control.
