Garo: The Animation - S01

The Valiante Kingdom has spent seventeen years hunting witches in the king's name, their crusade growing ever more ruthless. What the people don't know is that these so-called witches are actually the Makai Knights and Alchemists, humanity's hidden guardians against the Horrors-demons that prey on souls burdened by sorrow and suffering. Among them is 17-year-old Leon Luis, who inherited the Golden Knight Garo's legendary armor from his mother. Despite his power, he can't shake his hatred for the kingdom that killed her. His father, German-also known as Zoro the Shadow Cutting Knight-has been training him when he's called to investigate a surge of Horrors in the capital. Though German doubts Leon's resolve, he takes him along to continue his education. Meanwhile, the king's kind-hearted son, Alfonso San Valiante, searches for a way to stop the Horrors. But before he can act, he's betrayed and exiled. To reclaim his throne, he sets out to gather the allies and strength he needs. His path crosses with Leon's, and their meeting will alter both their destinies forever.
