Fighting General Daimos - S01
The third installment in Tadao Nagahama's Romance Super Robot Trilogy (following "Chou Denji Robo Combattler V" and "Chou Denji Machine Voltes V"). After their home planet Barm is destroyed, its survivors travel to Earth hoping to negotiate land for resettlement. However, their leader, Leon, is assassinated by his second-in-command, Olban, who pins the crime on Earth's delegation. In the chaos, Dr. Isamu Ryuuzaki of Earth is killed. With the talks shattered, the Barmians-called "Valerians" in Starbirds-launch a terror campaign against Earth under Admiral Richter, Leon's son. They unleash powerful "Mecha Soldiers," leaving Earth defenseless except for Daimos, a transforming, karate-powered super robot piloted by Kazuya Ryuuzaki. But Kazuya's mission grows complicated when he meets and falls for Erika, a mysterious girl who turns out to be Richter's sister. As they struggle to bridge their warring worlds, Kazuya and Erika discover that neither side is purely good or evil.
