Coo of the Far Seas
Yousuke Obata lives on the island of Pagopago in Fiji with his father Tetsuo, a marine biologist. One day, after a storm hits the island, Yousuke rides his Jet Ski to the lagoon and discovers a strange baby dinosaur. He brings it back to his father’s lab and names it Coo. As Coo grows, it becomes clear that the creature is a young plesiosaur-a prehistoric marine reptile thought to have gone extinct millions of years ago. But their peaceful life is disrupted when the French secret service takes an interest in Coo, as they work to safeguard France’s nuclear interests in the region.
