In a world where vending machines provide nearly anything, a man sets out on a journey to meet the creator, relying on these machines for his needs. Along the way, he attempts to buy a replacement for the earth. The creator refuses, stating plainly that a brand-new earth doesn’t exist. Through its straightforward narrative, this four-minute story captures Tezuka Osamu’s bleak view of the planet’s decline.
