Children of the Whales - S01
クジラの子らは砂上に歌う , Whale Calves Sing on the Sand, Tales of the Wales Calves
On a planet swallowed by an endless desert, a drifting island called the Mud Whale carries an old town within it. Most of its people are "Marked," cursed with strange powers that shorten their lives. Chakuro, the village’s young archivist, records the exploration of nearby islands-but each one is empty, its people long gone. When a new island appears after six months of silence, Chakuro and his friends join the scouts to investigate. There, they uncover traces of a lost civilization. In the ruins, Chakuro meets a mysterious girl. Her presence will reshape his fate-and the future of the Mud Whale itself.
