Butareba -The Story of a Man Turned Into a Pig- - S01

A self-important scientist wakes up in a filthy pigpen, disoriented, with only hazy memories of eating raw pig liver and passing out in the subway. To his horror, he discovers he’s been transformed into a pig-and worse, he’s now trapped in some kind of fantasy world. As he grapples with his bizarre situation, a girl named Jess helps him. She’s a Yesma, a servant caste marked by telepathic powers and the silver collars they wear, and though the pig’s thoughts about her are far from noble, Jess goes out of her way to protect him. Grateful, he vows to repay her however he can, even in his helpless pig form. But Jess’ kindness doesn’t shield her from the cruelty the Yesmas endure, and the pig soon senses she might be in deeper trouble than she realizes. Though his first instinct is to rush to the royal capital and plead with the king to undo his transformation, he can’t bring himself to abandon the girl who saved him.
