On Christmas Eve, four-year-old Miri Unasaka arrives in Tokyo alone, searching for her father. Drawn by the city’s festive lights, she stumbles into a grand hotel where a man carrying a tempting cake catches her eye. Unknowingly, she has stepped into the middle of a carefully plotted assassination targeting a dangerous mafia boss. Kazuki Kurusu and Rei Suwa, two professional assassins, share a quiet life together, burying the pain of their pasts and keeping emotions at arm’s length. When their mission goes wrong and they end up taking Miri home, the logical choice is to return her to her mother. But Miri’s laughter and innocent perspective slowly win over Kazuki, who secretly relishes playing the role of a parent, and even Rei’s guarded heart begins to soften. Miri’s boundless energy keeps Kazuki and Rei on their toes, proving more challenging than any of their deadly assignments.
