Grade schooler Yuuta Tomonaga accidentally discovers Deckerd, a humanoid robot being built by the Japanese police to combat high-tech crime. Through Yuuta’s frequent interactions with Deckerd, the robot develops a "heart"-a unique personality. When Yuuta is chosen to lead the "Brave Police" as their "boss," an authentic partnership between human and robot begins to form.
