Boogiepop and Others - S01

Whispers spread through the female students of Shinyo Academy about a mysterious supernatural being known as Boogiepop-a rumored "Shinigami" who supposedly kills people at the peak of their beauty before it fades. In truth, few understand Boogiepop's real purpose: a guardian who emerges as the alter ego of a quiet high school girl, Touka Miyashita, to combat "the enemies of the world" between long periods of dormancy. When a series of disappearances-dismissed by the school as mere runaways-begins, Boogiepop stirs awake. But hidden within the academy, something far more sinister lurks, biding its time. "Boogiepop wa Warawanai" quietly examines the ties between humanity and our perception of time, while unraveling the tangled emotions, memories, and histories of those caught in its eerie events.
