Blade of the Immortal - S01

Manji is a notorious swordsman in feudal Japan, feared as the "Hundred Man Killer" for slaughtering a hundred innocent men. But his dark reputation pales in comparison to his true curse-immortality. An eight-hundred-year-old nun named Yaobikuni embedded bloodworms in his body, granting him near-invulnerable healing. Seeking redemption, Manji vows to kill a thousand evil men. Yaobikuni promises to lift his immortality if he succeeds. Not long after, he crosses paths with Rin Asano, a sixteen-year-old girl begging for his help to avenge her murdered parents. At first, Manji refuses her plea. But seeing her helplessness, he relents and agrees to protect her for four years. Bound by this pact, the two set out on a dangerous path of violence, revenge, and atonement, each driven by their own desperate purpose.
