Betterman - S01

Keita Aono is just a regular high school kid who enjoys talking with his friends about military gear and the girls in their class. His routine life takes a turn when Hinoki Sai, a childhood friend he hasn’t seen in years, suddenly transfers into his class. Excited to reconnect, Keita follows her after school-only to stumble into Bottom World, an abandoned underground amusement park that was shut down after a mysterious disaster. While exploring the eerie ruins, Keita discovers Hinoki inside a strange robot. She reveals she’s working for Akamatsu Industries, a company partnered with the covert group Mode Warp to investigate bizarre outbreaks of violence around the world. After climbing into the robot with her, the two are forced to battle the park’s attractions, which have somehow come to life and turned hostile. Just as escape seems impossible, a man with shape-shifting abilities-known as "Betterman"-joins the fight. Now caught in a conflict against an unknown enemy called "Algernon," and surrounded by baffling new technology, Keita finds himself pulled into Akamatsu Industries’ dangerous mission.
