Appare-Ranman! - S01

Appare Sorrano is a brilliant but socially awkward inventor living in a small Japanese village in the late 1800s. Since childhood, he’s been obsessed with machines-especially steamships-and dreams of one day traveling across the ocean, beyond the sky, and even to the moon. But after a series of mishaps, he ends up stranded at sea in his homemade steamship, accompanied only by Kosame Ishikki, a skilled but timid samurai assigned to keep him out of trouble. Just as they lose hope, a passing ship rescues them and brings them to Los Angeles. With no money or way home, they enter the "Trans-America Wild Race," a risky cross-country competition. For Appare, it’s a chance to build his own car and push his inventions further. For Kosame, the prize money might be their ticket back to Japan. But with fierce rivals and dangerous terrain ahead, their journey is anything but simple. How far will their unlikely partnership take them?
