Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day - S01

Jinta Yadomi lives as a recluse, avoiding school and passing his days playing video games alone. One sweltering summer day, his childhood friend Meiko "Menma" Honma suddenly appears, badgering him to fulfill a long-forgotten promise. He ignores her, which only irritates her further-but he shrugs it off. After all, Menma died years ago. At first, Jinta writes off her appearance as a heat-induced hallucination, but he soon becomes convinced she really is a ghost. Menma’s death had scattered their tight-knit group of friends, but now they reluctantly reunite to help her find peace. As they confront old wounds and buried guilt, they must decide whether they can finally let go-not just for Menma’s sake, but for their own.
