Akame ga Kill! - S01
アカメが斬る！ , Akame ga Kiru!, AgK
Night Raid is the secret assassination unit of the Revolutionary Army, a rebellion formed to overthrow Prime Minister Honest, a man whose greed and hunger for power have led him to exploit the child emperor’s weakness. With no just ruler to guide it, the country sinks deeper into poverty, suffering, and chaos. The members of Night Raid are skilled killers, but they know their work is far from noble-they expect to pay a price for ruthlessly removing anyone who threatens the revolution. Their newest recruit is Tatsumi, a naive young man from a remote village who left home to find a way to save his struggling people. He joins Night Raid not just because he believes in their cause, but because he admires their determination. "Akame ga Kill!" follows Tatsumi as he battles the Empire, facing deadly weapons, rival assassins, and difficult choices that test his beliefs-all while learning what it truly means to fight for a cause as an assassin.
