Air: The Motion Picture

Centuries ago, Kanna, a winged princess and the last of her kind, was imprisoned in a castle because the world feared her power. When she met a soldier named Ryuuya, she fell in love with him and shared her dreams of seeing the outside world and finding her mother. Ryuuya tried to help her, but his efforts failed-Kanna was sealed in the sky by magic, cursed to suffer for eternity. Hundreds of years later, Yukito, Ryuuya's descendant, arrives in a quiet town a week before its annual festival, hoping to earn some money. There, he meets an unusual girl named Misuzu, who reminds him of his mother's words: "If you meet the reincarnation of the winged girl on your journey, you must use your power to free her." As Yukito and Misuzu grow closer and their feelings deepen, he discovers her connection to the past. Now, he faces a choice-walk away, or try to break the ancient curse that has trapped Kanna in endless pain.
