After a space colony declared independence from the Earth Federation, the two sides clashed in the brutal 7th Space War. The Federation deployed powerful mobile suits known as Gundams, but the rebels retaliated by crashing hundreds of colonies onto Earth, triggering a nuclear winter that lasted seven years. The Federation collapsed, and though the rebels won, they couldn’t capitalize on their victory to invade the devastated planet. Fifteen years later, in the year After War 0015, a new order has emerged. The New Federation works to rebuild Earth, while the space colonies quietly strengthen their forces. Amid the tensions, fifteen-year-old Garrod Ran stumbles upon an old Federation mobile suit-the Gundam X-and joins the crew of the Vulture ship Freeden, fighting to prevent history from repeating itself.
