Action Heroine Cheer Fruits - S01

Years ago, local heroines-superheroes representing towns and putting on stage shows to boost their hometown’s reputation-were all the rage. The most famous of them, Kamidaio, is set to perform in the small town of Hinano, thrilling Mikan Kise’s little sister Yuzu. But when Mikan takes Yuzu to the show, they learn it’s been canceled. Not wanting to disappoint her, Mikan vows to make sure Yuzu gets to see the performance. Determined to keep her promise, she turns to her classmate An Akagi, a die-hard local heroine fan, for help. Mikan and An put together their own Kamidaio show in handmade costumes. Though it’s far from polished, the kids in the audience adore it. The student council president, Misaki Shirogane-who comes from a political family and has made it her mission to revitalize Hinano-records their performance and shares it online to spread the word. Inspired by their effort, she recruits Mikan and An to become Hinano’s official local heroines. As they work to refine their act, they bring in a quirky cast of helpers to join their cause.
