At age five, Isaku Senagaki lost her parents and was taken in by her grandfather, Tasuke, a yakuza boss. Now about to start high school, she hopes to leave that world behind and finally experience an ordinary life-making friends, falling in love, and being seen for who she is, not her family ties. But her plans unravel when her overprotective guardian, 26-year-old Keiya Utou, bribes his way into her school to keep an eye on her. Isaku secretly pines for Keiya, but he only sees her as the boss's granddaughter he helped raise. Her struggle for normalcy turns into a daily fight, made harder by Keiya's smothering presence and his refusal to respect her boundaries. Letting go of her feelings is easier said than done when he won’t give her the space to move on.
