Marco is a young boy living in Genoa, Italy, with his father Pietro. His mother left for Argentina about a year earlier to find work, and though her letters arrived regularly at first, they suddenly stopped. Fearing the worst, Marco becomes determined to find her. Despite Pietro’s initial reluctance, he eventually agrees to let his son make the journey. Marco sets off for Argentina, driven by hope and longing. Along the way, he meets many people and learns valuable lessons about life, growing stronger and more self-assured through his experiences. His journey becomes not just a search for his mother, but a path to understanding himself.
