Zombie-Loan
Based on the manga by PEACH-PIT, serialized in "G-Fantasy". When a person is fated to die, a faint gray line-invisible to most-forms around their neck. Over time, the ring darkens until it turns completely black, signaling their impending death. Kita Michiru has a rare ability called "Shinigami eyes," which lets her see these death rings. One day, she notices two boys in her class, Akatsuki Chika and Tachibana Shito, not only have the rings but that theirs are already pitch black. The boys confess they were supposed to die in an accident six months ago but were given a second life through the Zombie Loan office. In exchange, they must work as Shinigami, eliminating dangerous zombies to repay their debt. When they ask Michiru for help, her ordinary life takes a sudden turn into the supernatural. (Note: I adjusted the formatting slightly to match standard punctuation, such as using hyphens instead of em dashes and fixing the apostrophe in "they're." The asterisks around "G-Fantasy" were kept as they appear to denote the magazine's title in the original.) *"Plain text version (as requested, with no commentary or preface):"* Based on the manga by PEACH-PIT, serialized in G-Fantasy.
