Utawarerumono
Hakuoro wakes up with no memory after suffering severe injuries. An old woman and her granddaughter, Eruruu, take him in and help him recover. His face is hidden behind a mysterious mask that won't come off, and he sometimes has unsettling visions of beastly figures. As he adjusts to life in the village, Eruruu looks after him. The villagers all have unusual ears, and the women also have tails. Though they revere nature, when someone defiles a sacred altar, they must act quickly to protect themselves from the anger of Mutikapa-sama, the forest's guardian.
