As Syaoran, Kurogane, Fai, and Sakura travel through worlds with Mokona in search of Sakura’s missing memory feathers, they arrive in the "Land of the Birdcage," a serene kingdom where people and birds coexist, each person bonded to a bird companion. A boy named Koruri mistakes Syaoran and Sakura for "bodyguards" and attacks them, leading the group to discover the king’s hidden, sinister power. Princess Tomoyo, Koruri, and other oppressed citizens, stripped of their birds, live in secret within the forest.
