Toward the Terra

Five hundred years after Earth’s environment collapsed-turning the planet into the wasteland known as Terra-humanity has built a coldly logical society in space. Supercomputers govern everything, children are artificially bred and randomly assigned to parents, and at age 14, each person must take the "Adulthood Exam," which erases their childhood memories. The greatest threat to this order is the "Mu," a group of humans who have evolved into espers. On his 14th birthday, Jomy Marquis Shin prepares for his Adulthood Exam, only to realize his past will be wiped away. As panic sets in, he hears Soldier Blue, the Mu’s leader, urging him to hold onto his memories. Jomy flees with the Mu and discovers he is an esper-a crime punishable by death under the government’s rule. With Soldier Blue nearing the end of his life, he passes his memories to Jomy and names him the Mu’s new leader. Now, Jomy must decide: keep the Mu hidden in the shadows, or wage war on humanity to reclaim their lost home, Terra.
