The Legend of Hei

Luo Xiaohei is a young monster who usually appears as a small black cat. He lives wild and free in the forest until deforestation and human expansion force him to leave. Lost and struggling in the city, he meets another monster, Feng Xi, who brings him to a hidden island where a few monsters live. Xiaohei is thrilled at first, thinking he’s found a new home, but his happiness is short-lived. A human Guild Executor named Wuxian arrives, hunting Feng Xi. Feng Xi and the others escape, stranding Xiaohei with Wuxian. The black cat resists cooperating with the man who chased his friends away, but Wuxian drags him along to the Guild. As they travel together, Xiaohei begins to see the complicated relationship between humans and monsters in a world that’s quickly changing.
