The Dagger of Kamui
Jiro, a young boy, returns home to find his mother and sister murdered. Framed for their deaths, he escapes his village and crosses paths with a priest named Tenkai, who orders him to kill a rogue ninja named Tarouza. After completing the task, Jiro trains under Tenkai to become a skilled assassin. Years later, he learns the truth-he was an orphan, and his real father was Tarouza, who had once served Tenkai before abandoning his mission after falling in love with an Ainu woman. Jiro also uncovers a plot by the Shogunate to recover Captain Kidd’s lost treasure, which they plan to use to cut Japan off from the world. Armed with clues Tarouza left behind, Jiro teams up with Oyuki, a female ninja, and Sam, a slave, to chase the treasure across Russia and America-hoping to use it to take revenge on Tenkai.
