Tachigui: The Amazing Lives of the Fast Food Grifters

Tokyo struggled to rebuild from the ruins just after World War II. In a corner of the black market, a small soba noodle shop stood on shaky legs. As closing time neared, a man appeared at the door. "One moongaze-with soba," he ordered. This was Moongaze Ginji, the legendary Fast Food Grifter, and his quiet but relentless scam had begun. Years later, during the protests against the Japan-US Security Treaty in 1960, rumors spread about Foxy Croquette O-Gin, a beautiful Fast Food Grifter who vanished without a trace. Later, in the boom of Japan’s economic miracle, the streets whispered about Crying Inumaru, a down-and-out drifter. Then came Cold Badger Masa, whose shocking death exposed the hidden world of Fast Food Grifters in society. Beefbowl Ushigoro brought a major gyudon chain to its knees, and Hamburger Tetsu left the entire fast food industry reeling. Fast Food Grifters are ghosts who rise and fade with changing tastes-rebels who carved their names into the shadows of food culture. Now, their legend lives again.
